Baton Rouge, LA – Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center earned top honors at the recent 2007 Addy Awards, taking home a total of six of the prestigious awards. The Addys are presented by the American Advertising Federation to recognize creative excellence in all forms of media within the Greater Baton Rouge area.

Mary Bird Perkins’ television campaign featuring compelling survivor stories of former cancer patients earned two gold and four silver Addys. The two gold awards were in recognition of excellence in editing and directing. The award-winning campaign was created in conjunction with Diane Allen & Associates and filmed and edited by Digital FX.

In addition, Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center (OLOL), with whom Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center is jointly accredited, was presented with nine gold Addy awards for various television commercials spotlighting the hospital’s medical expertise. All commercials were filmed and edited by Digital FX. A tenth gold Addy Award was presented to OLOL in the category of outstanding special event material for the Our Lady of the Lake Foundation Gala invitation. Eleven silver Addy awards were presented to the OLOL Marketing team for various television commercials, all of which were filmed and edited by Digital FX, and for several print materials and a collateral stationery package.
